Community Schools are public schools that provide services and support that fit each neighborhood’s needs. Sunset Elementary’s community school considers the needs of families, students, and teachers when creating programming for after school care classes and identifying enrichment class offerings.

Before Care, After School Care, Story Hour
Sunset Elementary’s Before Care, After School Care, and Story Hour programs provide a safe, nurturing, supportive, and enriching environment for students who need care beyond the school day. Students receive a snack upon arrival, and are provided with time to complete homework, with assistance as needed. A wide variety of fun and engaging indoor and outdoor activities are included to support children’s academic, physical, social, and emotional development.

Enrichment Classes
Sunset Elementary’s enrichment program offers classes to support health and wellness, skill-building, socialization, self-expression, and help children develop their interests and talents.
